MBKL is a home grown brand from Batik Artist Emilia Tan, since 2004.
Artists always like to paint at home, in their own studio. And now in 2017, Emilia has opened her home studio and invites people to come over, not only to view the Batik making process, but you can also experience the Malaysian traditional cooking workshop. Another highlight of this place is Batik Home Stay. This means you can surround yourself with the beauty and style of batik art and home furnishings.
MBKL is located at Embun Kemensah, which is a 4-story courtyard villa. There is a Batik artist-painting studio on the lower ground. On the ground floor you will find the cooking & private dining area, where you can participate in the local Malaysian cooking class. Finally you can relax in the top 2 floors for Batik Home Stay and enjoy the surrounding pristine tranquility of the mountain and rain forest.
In Emilia’s batik-painting studio, you can learn and experience batik technique and produce your own batik art work. There is a variety of batik classes for adults and children, namely Batik Scarf Painting, Batik T-Shirt Painting, Batik Green Bag Painting, Batik Painting Art Work and many more. ( all type of painting classes are available at www.myBatik.com )
