DONATING ARTIST FOR ART FOR AFRICA
I am pleased to be taking part in Art for Africa, an annual Art & Cocktail fundraiser in aid of Gisimba Orphanage in Kigali, Rwanda and Global Relief and Development Partners.
Art for Africa is 100% volunteer and sponsor driven and our goal is to introduce art enthusiasts to a wide range of talent while allowing collectors to appreciate art in an atmosphere different from a gallery setting.
Art for Africa will be held at the SHAMBA Foundation, an event venue, located at 48 Yonge Street, Suite 1200 (at King Street West) on Thursday, April 8th, 2010 from 6:00 – 9:00pm.

The Imagine Hope exhibit will be shown at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky from April 9 to May 25, 2010.

The Imagine Hope exhibit previewed as a special exhibit, “Hope for our World” on March 31, 2008 at the Chapel on the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. During “Arts for Activism” Day at Duke on April 5, 2008, Hollis Chatelain led a guided tour of her work at the Chapel. The event was preceded with a public discussion between Hollis and Duke Chapel Dean Wells.
